"Do no stay at this hotel, it is terrible. It was totally run down. The curtains were ripped and hadn't been washed in years. The bathroom was filthy with brown stains in toilet and black grime on shower seals. The sink had hard toothpaste left on it obviously from the guests before us. The room itself was thick with dust and the carpet was covered in stains and hadn't been hoovered in weeks.Even the walls had dirty marks all over them We had booked 2 rooms and both were as bad as each other. "The hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment as it is dated, very tired looking and in parts very tatty. Having said that the room I was allocated was large and spotless. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom amenities were acceptable. The breakfast at this hotel was very good. The car park is small and I was lucky to get a parking space during my stay. "The hotel was beautiful and spacious. When we were there we ate both dinner and breakfast outside which was lovely, again looking over extensive grounds (although oddly the second tier of the garden below the main level was not well maintained at all) However the feel of the place was a bit chaotic and we heard a number of guests complaining about things which should have been easily remedied (tvs not right, AC not entirely working and so on) We had a lovely dinner but one of our servers made...

"Fantastic location for the event i was attending. Close to local shops, pubs & cafes. The hotel staff were polite, very warm, welcoming, accommodating & friendly - a totally lovely experience. "The room was hotter than the sun, the fan provided did nothing and even the floor felt hot. The towels and sink had hairs on them. The room had one plug socket and it was nowhere near the bed. The temperature of the shower couldn’t be controlled, it was extremely hot in the room so I turned on only the cold tap and when I switched it to shower it would still come out hot and change temperature frequently and I couldn’t control it."
