We went for knowing we wanted a lazy holiday. Our aim was to spend as much time on a sun lounger as possible and I think we managed pretty well. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are SO helpful and we possible the best massages in the Spa we've ever had. We explored the 2 towns close to the resort; Port Louis seemed to be more of a day time excursion, the markets are great and its def worth a visit, but beware of getting hassled (its pretty much the opposite of been in the hotel). The larger 4-bed villa that I booked was lovely; we also saw the inside of a smaller 3-bed unit, and it looks like the 3-bed ones have had a bit of a refurb that hasn’t reached the 4-bed villa yet, but it was honestly lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially our cleaner Marie, who was an absolute star. Would thoroughly recommend.

Incredible service, amazing beach & facilities with great attention to detail. We spent a fantastic week there and barely managed to leave the hotel at all because it was so nice.

We had a lovely day Good Life ego Lodge. This is a small boutique hotel in a quiet area of Cap Malhereux. It is within two minutes walk of the red roof church Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice. We use the buses to travel along the north coast and visited all the beautiful beaches. The bus stop is only a few minutes away. The rooms are quite compact, but it was big enough for us. As the title suggest it is just that. the staff work on a " yes can do basis". The management and staff acknowledges your presence with a nice and short greeting each time and everytime wherever you find yourself. The restaurant waiting staff are very discrete and offers top service without being prompted. The CEO extended his oiwn personal welcome at a cocktail party was most gracious.

My family and I spent 12 nights here in April 2016 and from the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave I knew I had made a great choice to spend a memorable holiday. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in rooms 204 and 207, both were first floor rooms and they were very comfortable and spacious adopting a modern open plan layout. One of the best hotels I've ever been to. Perfect for a romantic or relaxed break. Food is excellent - both buffet and a la carte restaurants. Plenty of water sports to do (free of charge) or tours to other areas of the island.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in December. Excellent service and a great place to relax and have a break. Their top priority is your comfort and the staff are extremely polite and professional and do everything they can to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They do not say no to anything you ask for!! This is a charming boutique hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Janey the cook and her assistant Anushka prepare delicious meals, which are served directly overlooking the sea. Villa Anakao is not situated in a tourist spot. There is a nearby fish stall on a nearby beach which is worth a visit. This hotel is certainly not posh. It is real Mauritius, but is nevertheless a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island, and a fraction of the cost of the much smarter big brand...

Room was extremely comfortable and the service is exceptional. Note the sea here can be too shallow to swim in at low tide, and we stayed during a neep tide when the water was too low to use the pedaloes, canoes etc. Highly recommend the trip to swim with dolphins arranged by the hotel, note you need to be a strong swimmer though to jump off the boat on cue and swim rapidly to keep up with them - children under 12 probably couldn't manage it. Having travelled a lot for business and pleasure, I have to say this was the best experience ever. Nothing could be faulted . Location, staff and facilities were top notch. The menu was varied even for a veggie like me. And there was even some entertainment every evening

A really gorgeous resort based in the North of the island. I went with my partner for a romantic holiday and it was lovely place to relax and unwind. The team can't do enough for you and really looked after us. Make sure you pay for the All Inclusive package as it's well worth it - aside from the buffet, all restaurants are Ala Carte and although not everything is included without a supplement, we found there was enough to choose from.
