My partner and I stayed in room 33 for two nights the week of Jul 23, 2018. The location of the hotel is great and within a short ten minute walk you can reach some of Rome's famous sights such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. However, our overall impression with the management is one of neglect. We will not be staying at the Prestige Guest House again. The current Expedia score of 4.1 of 5.0 may have been accurate some years ago but this is no longer the case.
For example, the air conditioning was not working during our stay. Deeksha also notes this in his review of Jun 4, meaning that the AC has been broken for nearly two full summer months. Clearly management has no intention of fixing this issue. We were told that the required spare part could only be sourced from a factory currently experiencing a labour strike!
At one point my partner requested an iron to touch-up her dress before leaving the hotel for the evening. We were told that no iron or ironing boards were available.
Breakfast, although included, was not offered the first of our two mornings at the hotel. When we did receive breakfast the day of our check-out, we were dissapointed with the quality. As one previous reviewer noted, the main breakfast items were cheap, overly-sweet pastries. Breakfast is in served in the room because of the small size of the hotel.
Finally, we noticed that the toilet seat was broken and that it had been taped together instead of repaired.
