This was our second stay at the hotel within a week, returning after a few days in Florence—and it reaffirmed how much we appreciated this place. We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) in a family suite, and the setup was ideal. The suite was very clean and exceptionally spacious, featuring two living rooms, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Having that kind of space made a huge difference, especially for a longer stay, giving everyone room to relax comfortably. The location is another strong point—convenient and well-positioned, making it easy to get around and enjoy the city without stress. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every request we made was handled quickly and efficiently, and the level of attentiveness was outstanding. This is a boutique hotel with genuinely personal service—very different from large hotel chains where requests can often get lost in the system. A special mention goes to Catalin, who went above and beyond. While we were on the train traveling from Florence back to Rome, he assisted us over WhatsApp with restaurant reservations and airport transportation for our departure. He was incredibly responsive, kind, and proactive, which made our travel day much smoother and far less stressful. We also want to highlight the doorman, who was consistently helpful and kind throughout our stay. His attitude felt genuinely warm and welcoming—it never came across as transactional or driven by tips, but rather as sincerity.

We stayed for four nights as a family of four in one of the hotel’s family suites, and overall, it was a genuinely positive experience. The location is a big advantage—convenient and well-situated, making it easy for us to get around and explore without hassle. Whether heading out for sightseeing or grabbing meals nearby, everything felt within reach. The family suite itself was impressively spacious. With four of us, space can often feel tight, but that wasn’t the case here. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, unpack, and not feel like we were on top of each other, which made a big difference over a multi-night stay. We had 2 living room, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms for our family suite. What stood out most, though, was the staff. Every request we made—whether it was for extra towels, recommendations, or small adjustments—was handled quickly and efficiently. The responsiveness was consistent throughout our stay. More importantly, the level of service felt personal in a way that’s increasingly rare. This is a boutique hotel, and it shows: the staff actually seem to know what’s going on and care about guest experience. Unlike larger hotel chains, where requests can feel like they disappear into a system, here everything felt direct and thoughtfully handled. Overall, a great choice for families looking for space, convenience, and genuinely attentive service.

Truly a dream stay at The First Roma Dolce. Joseph and the team had shown genuine hospitality and were very helpful. Even took care of our travel plans and transport arrangement! The room is luxurious, modern, and high-tech. The hotel is located right at the heart of the commercial area of Spanish Steps. Very convenient for shopping. Tourist spots like the Pantheon, Colosseo, and Trevi Fountain are within 30-min walking distance.

I’m usually very particular when it comes to choosing hotels, but The First Dolce has truly become one of my all-time favorites! Everything was simply perfect—from the stunning marble bathroom to the warm, welcoming, and highly professional staff. The rooms are beautifully cozy, and every day we were surprised with little treats such as chocolates or freshly baked pastries. Having a private sauna in the bathroom was a real luxury and the best way to relax after long walks through the streets of Rome. The front desk team went above and beyond—helping us not only with recommendations, but also with tickets, dinner reservations, and so much more. A special thanks goes to the manager, Alina, who made our stay unforgettable. She made us feel completely at home, and now we are certain that The First Dolce will be the only hotel we choose whenever we come back to Rome.

Great location, spacious with balcony.

Definitely a great location, near to plenty of restaurants and shopping of high end brands. Near to Spanish steps and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing is that the taxi does not stop in front of the hotel. You will need to pull your luggages a bit but just for a short distance.
