"Impeccable service, spotless room, great location, quiet elegance. My only criticism is that I did not appreciate the new £23 per day charge for the housekeepers that just popped up. When I asked about it, I was told, "But 100% goes to the housekeepers". Huh? Was that supposed to make me feel better? "This is a lovely hotel in an amazing location. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home and looked after. Only caveats are that the rooms are small and that it being a gorgeous old building, it doesn't have a lift/elevator, so if you have heavy luggage or issues with stairs, ask for ground floor rooms."
