"Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart...

"We had another lovely stay at Casa de Los Suenos!! Roberto and Carlos are always so helpful and the hotel even worked with us on a last minute date change due to an illness when they did not have to. We love staying on this beautiful and quieter side of the island and having access to Kin Ha (such an amazing place to get in the water and hang out!) then using a golf cart to explore the rest of the island at our leisure. There are great restaurants walking distance and also taxis are easy/cheap...

"This is a basic hotel. The rooms are a bit outdated, but the staff is nice. The pool is small with only four lounge chairs. You will need to walk to get to the beach - this hotel has a dock only. "

"This is a solid hotel if you’ve been to Mexico before and know what to expect. My goal here is to give real, practical info. The location is hard to beat—less than a five-minute walk from the ferry. We arrived about two hours early with no expectation of early check-in, but Airan got us into our room at no extra charge. Great start. We booked a king bay view room through Expedia. The lobby is clean and airy, with a small pool behind the front desk—cool (not warm), but perfect after a hot day....

"While the room itself was nice....the location is terrible. There is a view of the ocean, but it's across the street...so it's an ocean view but not ocean front. There is a gas station right beside the room...constant lines of traffic. there is a speed bump right in front, so all vehicles slow down. Two bright street lights shining into the room all night. I would certainly not recommend and def would not stay there again."

"I booked through Expedia and paid in full or so I thought. At check-in I'm told there is a environmental fee right then. Nothing about that was listed on the website about this additional. I don't like being taken advantage of and I think everyone who checks in here is. If it's a legit fee why not have it in your booking or forewarn of it in the listing? As for the room it was big and air conditioned. The water in the sink and shower is salty due to it being right on the beach. And the toilet...

"Staff was friendly is the only thing going for this hotel. Sheets were filthy Bathroom was covered in mold Walls were paper thin and one could hear everything going on in other rooms and I am not a light sleeper. I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular-but this did not even meet basic 1star experience. "

"Staff at the property were lovely! You sort of get what you pay for, it’s nice they’ve made the effort to modernise the property but you can tell it’s still a little worn. But as mentioned you get what you pay for. One down side was the water ran really low on our last night, only to wake up the following morning with the toilet not flushing and no water coming out of any taps. I had to use a water bottle to get water out of the pool so the toilet would flush. "
