"Loved having access to a kitchen and a washing machine, much needed after 3 wks camping. Beds were supper comfy cozy, and contrary to other reviews we did not find the street noise bothersome, and we had the windows open. Traffic noise calmed by midnight. Place was very well looked after by hardworking staff, we saw staff regularly in the 4 days we stayed. Shout out to them, because it's deplorable the mess other guests left in the kitchen. "Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

"We had a ground floor room in flint cottage. The property lacked soundproofing as we were disturbed by the people in the room above us. The food was ok but if you are going to charge premium prices you need to use much better quality food."

"If you’re scrolling for a hotel PLEASE KEEP SCROLLING. Absolutely disgusting & filthy. In the words of my partner, “if we had a dog, I wouldn’t let that stay here ……” To get into the room we had to move bags of rubbish outside the actually room to start with. Walked in and found a towel used by the previous guests still in the bathroom ( and we could tell as it was dirty and stained ) . "Had one of the smallest rooms in the hotel but it was quite quaint. As we were only staying one night, it wasn't a problem."

"We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place."

"Room was freezing cold, no heating on, kettle didn't work. They did offer to change our room but other room was also unheated. As check in is 2pm.We checked in at 4.40pm 14th Feb, room was icy cold. Hot water was temperamental. Room should have bern warm & water hot, Hubby had cold shower i gave that a miss.should be heated by then"
