"The room is fine. The view is great. We had a perfect view of the ocean from our balcony. The chairs on the balcony were broken. A quick walk to the action in Hampton Beach. It is OK to stay for 1 night but a whole week I would not."

"We were charged $151 by Expedia and when we checked in we were charged an additional $121. The staff was snippy and Un responsive stating it was just a hold charge but my husband told her it went thru as a sale and she wouldn’t do anything basically saying it was our problem."

"The Anchorage Inn, as far as we could tell, saw itself in a niche with accommodations like Days Inn and Travelodge. With this in mind, I'll attempt a fair review. The price, for a room 1.5 miles from downtown Portsmouth, NH, was certainly reasonable. The front desk was always staffed, and staffers were generally well-informed and helpful.
