"They didn’t have enough towels for everybody. They had shampoo and conditioner, mixed packets only and two of them. It wasn’t even enough to do my wife’s hair and we went downstairs to ask for more towels and more shampoo and body soap. We felt like we were disrespecting them."

"We loved this place it was small and our room was cute and very clean. It’s just a bit loud from the freeway noise, but they are aware and I was happy to find a noise reduction machine on the table so you could help drown out the freeway noise with ocean or rain sounds. They also provide ear plugs. We got used to the noise and it really wasn’t a problem. We will stay there again. There are great shops and a cozy restaurant nearby."

"Clean room and friendly staff. Good breakfast. The room had an extra sink by the fridge and microwave but when you turn on the water it smelled like sewer gas. Could only use bathroom sink."

"We love the Coast Village Inn and have stayed here many times. The sink in our bathroom had a really bad odor that came out when water was run down the drain. I think it needs some really good cleaning."

"Updated rooms. Bathroom was okay. Room was next to maids closet so heard everything outside. Room stated ocean view but was not the ocean view I expected. More a side view and ocean from a far. Fire place was not working. Customer service was great and they apologized and made it correct. More 3 star hotel feel."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, location was great. There are more homeless around SB than before and there was one vagrant that came to the hotel in the middle of the night. That was scary but the police finally removed them. So, a really good hotel to stay in on so many level, location, breakfast and staff and price. Like I said, great location as a primary reason to stay but I would ask for the after hours number, there is one but it is not posted."

"Very clean room. wonderful toiletries, great having a separate bedroom, queen and full beds. The outside patio was private and lovely with bistro chairs and a table for two, lemon trees and plants lining the fenced patio. Parking was always available. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, and many cultural activities, shops and restaurants. The staff are courteous and helpful. I would stay again!"
