The hotel also provided a bar each afternoon on an honesty system - the hotel's common areas - lounge room and courtyard were delightful and the perfect place to relax with a drink or a cup of tea. The atmosphere of the Castillo Rojo is just charming! Happy hour every day on the patio...just wonderful! The staff could not have been any better! We LOVED our stay at the Castillo Rojo and loved our stay in Santiago!"

"they clean the room every day. They cleaned the bathroom. It’s great. Staff is nice. Breakfast is good. Would be nice if they mix it up instead of having exactly the same things every day. No gym. Not a lot of seating space in the lobby as you wait for the flight after a checkout."

"Our flight was delayed 14 hours, so we managed to get a booking here, Juan was amazing and gave us an early check in so we could drop our bags and go out for the day in Santiago, location is handy to plenty of shops and not too far of a walk to San Cristobal. We also ended up having dinner before we went back to the airport, and the food was amazing. Should we find ourselves back in Santiago we will be sure to stay here again. Thanks Juan."

"Only reason for me to give low stars is, due to really terrible check-in experience with Robins. We reach at 10.30PM tired and hope for smooth check-in experience. He wasn’t friendly at all. Problem 1. We were clueless where is our room and he is behind us instead of leading us and getting door for us. We had our hands full with our luggage. Problem 2. "Excellent location on a relatively quieter street not far from the subway and Cerro San Cristobal. Cement walls and ceiling made for a very quiet room. I liked it so much at the start of my trip to Chile that I stayed another three nights before I returned home to Canada."
