Hotel dekat Shady Lake

"I was given the wrong room type at check in. I paid for a room with a couch and extra floor space and was given a much smaller room without a couch! Tried to resolve the issue and was told no refund I am disappointed because I have family near there and travel from out of state so would stay at this location often. We are IHG members. Would like this to be made right as I calculated for four day stay was overcharged over 350 dollars. Stay would have been better if I would have been issued the...

"Clean room. Friendly staff. The room did not have the amenity of a fridge, and while there are ice machines in the hall, the room did not have an ice bucket. Unfortunately at about 8:30 pm, the smoke detector started making a static noise that carried on through the night. Had it been earlier, I would have asked for a different room or for it to be looked at, but the time of evening didn't seem practical for either. I would stat there again but prepared for a small lack of typical conveniences."

"The room was so dirty. Like I would say you get what you pay for but even some motels are better than this. There was like oil drips on the wall, pee on the toilet, hairs in the bed sheets, fresh jam on the floor, etc. And the cherry on top was there was no hot water, we got warm water when we ran the shower for about 10 minutes."

I wouldn't stay again. The one night we had available to utilize the pool, the water was murky and you could not see the bottom. I booked this hotel because it was listed as a 4-star property, but in its current condition it feels more like a 2-star hotel, at best. There is ongoing construction, so it may become a 4-star hotel in the future, but that is not an accurate description of what guests are experiencing now."
