"On arrival, the gentleman on reception was exceptional. Very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a great view of the York Minster. Excellent location and we'll definitely be back. 10/10"

"We were given a free upgrade to a river view room, which was an expected delight as we could sit on the bed and gaze at York Minster! The room was warm (it was snowing outside), well-appointed and clean. On guest safety, the hotel scored big points as the lift was only operational by using the room keycard and fire escape route was clearly marked on the reverse. I could relax and enjoy my stay. "

"Warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to correct any and all concerns Very cute rooms, warm and cozy, nicely decorated. Clean, modern bathrooms. Great neighborhood, easy walk to the city center, easy for Uber rides, and some phenomenal restaurants only steps away: Chinese noodle soups, coffee/bakeries, and the Rose and Crown tavern, which has the best meat pies, Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding ive had yet in England. Highly recommend this hotel."

The tv was well positioned and the water was hot at all times Breakfast was good but some foods could have been a little warmer but that’s often the challenge for buffet service. The range and availability was great though. The lounge and bar are was very well run by professional and friendly staff who definitely know how to deliver great customer service.
