"Everyone was welcoming and friendly, with very well trained staff throughout. For a one night stay with smallish children it was perfect, both room and menu, and even down to the little booklet to keep young ones occupied. Oh, and great beer too. Oh, and an EV charging point. "We stayed in the Green room for just one night but wished it was longer; what an absolutely lovely and deluxe room. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Chairs and sofa, a dressing table and a rather comfortable bed, and various types of pleasant lighting. Very clean bathroom with Faith in Nature toiletries and other useful extras. Someone has put a lot of thought into making this a lovely room. We had a nice welcome, the parking was good, and would thoroughly recommend."

"A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. "
