"I stayed 2 nights at the Devonshire Hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. My room was very clean and large. Bed was comfortable. In all a very pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel."

"Entrance hall was welcoming but stair carpet to upper floors needs cleaning. Room was large and bright. Voile curtain had a large rip in it, door was difficult to lock with the key when leaving the room for the day. A comfortable chair instead of the chaise lounge would have been more comfortable. Shower was large and worked well, care needed on wet floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Good choice for the price range. We booked a double room for one night in April for 41 GBP. The check in was smooth and reception staff was friendly. Bed was comfy and the hot shower after the 14 km seven sisters hike was a relief. Negative points: The room is a bit small (which we didn’t really mind as we only used it to sleep overnight). "Couldn’t fault the staff who were friendly, efficient and attentive, but I’m afraid my stay was spoiled by the heat of the bedroom. There was a free standing air cooler provided, but this made no real difference. Perhaps the temperature of rooms ought to be monitored if these extreme temperatures are to be more frequent. The room shouldn’t have been available."

"This is a well reasonably maintained property and excellent value for money. Bedroom and bed were comfortable with decent sized enough suite room with a shower. Check in was good and actually checked in an hour early."
