"Have stayed in 4 hotels and B&B’s in Eastbourne and this is by far and away the best one I’ve stayed in. Victorian features, stain glass windows combined with a modern style. Breakfast choices were eggcelent with proper sausages and bacon, the “house” scrambled eggs was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bonus as that area of Eastbourne can be tricky to find spaces to park at night. Would definitely stay at The New England again."

"Incredible location across from the beach. Room was spacious and had a view of the beach and the pier. These older buildings don’t have AC but a fan was provided as was a small portable fridge. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant so we can’t rate those. We forgot some important items in our room on checkout and the staff were amazing. They contacted us right away when they found the items and offered to have a staff member deliver them to us. Really helpful."

"This hotel is in a great location overlooking the pier, near the shops and 10 minute walk from the train station. Room was clean and large. However there were no working elevators which is a tough slog when you’re on the top floor even tho I consider myself reasonably fit. We noticed this was reported in numerous other reviews over months if not years so we weren’t surprised when we arrived but the hotel staff told us there was an engineering team looking into it. "Room was nice size, had pleasant sea view from 2 sash windows, however, smallest one sealed shut, largest one only opened about 4 inches because there was screwed-in wire connecting bottom of window to frame, stopping it from going up any further.
