"Nice room on the beach. Staff kind and helpful. Wifi was not good. Sometimes had to go to the lobby to do anything online. Drive to downtown for restaurants etc."

"This is a decent hotel. Mostly modern. Huge, nice lobby, clean rooms but shower could use some deep cleaning and new caulking around edges. Our king bed room was a great size with an amazing balcony access and view ( paid extra for this). The elevator wasn’t working so this was a huge inconvenience for us cyclists with bikes up and down stairs. Breakfast is included and is very good with lots of hot choices such as eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, pancakes plus fresh fruit, cereals, and...

"No AC was inconvenient and the fans need to be bigger. The refrigerator side pockets were broken, so you couldn't use them. A pickle jar must have spilled in the refrigerator and everything I put inside smelled of pickle juice. If you like to camp, and I do, and the above are not major priorities, its location alone makes it worth it. I'd book again."

"really special place, the staff were wonderful, the property was well maintained. location is walking distance to the beach and downtown. Really feels like camping but never like you’re roughing it. Suggest booking a larger unit if you want a roomy shower, but the coziness of our camper was nice. will definitely be back!"

"We usually stay at the Amanzi when we are in Ventura visiting our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren. The property is consistently clean, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful and the included breakfast is a few notches higher than a continental breakfast. The location of the Amanzi is just a short walk from the beach boardwalk and, in the opposite direction, from the popular downtown streets that are designed for pedestrian traffic only."

"Hotel was under renovation which I didn’t realize until after I booked. There was a lot of construction activity in the lobby and adjoining breakfast area and hallway. The hallways and our room had half finished paint around the baseboards and door trim and it was pretty tacky. Bathroom area was configured oddly with vanity in the bedroom area. Not a great setup for us since my boyfriend wakes up really early. The plus side was the great breakfast and free parking. Pool and spa looked nice but...

"The hotel is a bit older. The bathroom has been updated recently. The coffee in the morning was a nice surprise. Location was good. Sitting on the balcony was nosy due to cars and Amtrak. Luckily the train whistle was over before 9 pm. All of the staff were friendly and helpful"

"First time to stay Good price. Glad to see cleaned, especially tub. We were located front near highway and pool which we should have asked for the back area because we are light sleepers. Coffee was good but only small morning window served."
