It was a PERFECT getaway for our Cousin's weekender event! The rooms were clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and the breakfast buffet was amazing! Also, just 7 mins drive to the Ventura Pier!

Megan at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, professional, and very personable. Even when she answered the phone I’m sure you could feel her smile through the line. Really great customer service!

Everything was fantastic … our keys didn’t work at first and the person working the counter was very nice and moved us to a different room and reported it to maintenance.

This hotel could have gotten 5 Stars from me if it wasn’t for the design of the A/C system, furniture and lighting. The person who engineered this should be fired! The A/C is so loud that it made getting a good night sleep impossible, this also happened to us at the Folsom location. Then there is the light sensing switch, it turns off the lights every few minutes (ridiculous) if your not in the kitchen and the light sensor in the bathroom, you get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you’re hit with this intense light for no good reason. Why not just put a nightlight in the bathroom. Then there is the cheep sheets, they don’t fit the bed properly and wrinkle under your body (terrible). These are the things that make the difference between a mediocre hotel, and a hotel that actually cares about the comfort of their guests. Unfortunately this will be the last time I stay at a residence inn, they built this beautiful hotel and went cheap on some of the most important things, besides a loud A/C in the room there is no A/C in the elevators or hallways, it was 101° you can’t imagine how bad that felt. It is very sad that the people in charge would not make guests comfort their numbers one priority. Based on other reviews you would think they would get the message and make some changes, insulating the A/C chamber would help, removing the lighting sensors and upgrading the sheet would make a huge difference. I never had these problems at the AC Marriott and paid the

The hotel overall was rushed when building was in progress. The contractors did not pay attention to the simple things. The A/C unit in our room was leaking and wet the floor significantly. The bathroom door would not close due to the door being extremely tilted . Different beds in different rooms. The first room had a good bed, then we switched rooms due to the issues I just listed. And the second bed was horrible. You could feel the springs popping up and down. Overall it felt extremely cheap. I would not stay here again

I liked that the hotel was new and the decor had a great asthetic! The furnishings were nice and modern! The rating was lower because there was a motion sensor in the rooms and the lights went out several times including when I was in the shower. It was funny at first after we discovered the issue, but quite annoying when it happened repeatedly. My son got up to use the restroom in the wee hours of the morning and the lights came on and disrupted my sleep. Regarding cleanliness, there was also a used bar of soap in the shower and hair on the floor which meant the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. The AC unit was extremely loud, so we turned it off. Lastly, the shower door did not hold the water and water ran out on the floor. Lastly, the buffet ran out of food an hour before it closed and the guests had to wait for food. The two staff that were servicing the buffet were gracious and attempted to respond to all concerns.

You will likely have a room along the freeway. The freeway is loud. The AC in our room created a very heavy and uncomfortable low frequency sound in the bed alcove. It was impossible for us to sleep with the AC on because it felt like a jet engine was in the room.
