Getting to and from town and the ferry with luggage is a nightmare without a car. Walking on your own is ok, but takes time and you need to be in shape. "

"The hotel was half way up the mountain so it was lovely to have them pick us up from the train station. The town of Varenna was easily reached with a 10 minute walk down the mountain however the uphill trip could be a bit gruelling, there is a free bus that operates from the station after 7pm. The hotel room was well appointed and even had a washing machine which was well used by us. It was a beautiful peaceful setting with pool and spa and a lovely restaurant a few steps away. "Daniel was just amazing and the property has been very thoughtfully managed. Pool is immaculate. Location is just excellent and central to Bellagio. Only point of feedback would be the mattress in the bed being a little more comfortable. We will be back!"

"Beautiful hotel on the lake, many rooms with balconies over the water. Spotlessly clean, all new fixtures and furniture, one of the best and most comfortable beds I've slept in. Breakfast was amazing, omelettes freshly cooked for you and the best fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses not mention a variety of breads, croissants/cornettos and freshly squeezed orange juice.
