"Our first room was filthy- the ‘cleaning rag’ was even left in the bathroom which turned out to be a dirty pillow case. Was moved to a different room and was told we would have that room for the remainder of our stay. However, was told the next morning we had to move and was left without a room for the day until after 3pm. The put up bed for my 7 year old was not in the room. Took us telling reception 3 times and it was eventually brought to the room at 8:30pm. Very outdated rooms and not as expected. Breakfast also not worth the money. Reception staff unhelpful."

"Our stay at the Clayton Hotel London Wall was truly amazing. It was our first time staying at this hotel, and it’s definitely one to remember for all the great reasons. We were greeted by PJ & Hamza, who were honestly the best customer reps we have had experience with. They were so friendly, personable and kind; they truly made the first moments of our stay kick off to an incredible start. Our room was so spacious and quiet, just what we wanted for our break away. The facilities too, such as the drink refreshment station, stocked mini fridge and coffee machine were such lovely touches. It was also the best night sleep away in London. On departure, we gave our feedback to PJ who was so attentive and truly cared about our needs. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend to our anyone looking for a quiet home away for home in London. "I have stayed in this hotel three times now. The first stay was beyond excellent, the second not so much. But this third time was pretty good once I'd managed to check in (they weren't having an early check-in, beyond giving me an accessible room which I didn't need or something in the basement), but I was pretty happy with where they finally put me as it was very quiet and I slept well. The breakfast was good and I appreciated the free drink. If I run London next year then I will probably want to return for a fourth time."

"Stylish, well-functioning - a relaxing oasis on Shoreditch high street. My go-to hotel in London. Some staff seemed very new this time (we found it difficult to order a cup of coffee up to the room - called front desk and the first time what arrived was bags of instant) but all tried and were super friendly. "Booked a last minute stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. No provisions or offers given to celebrate our special day, not even a 'happy anniversary' comment! Room was not clean...hair in shower area and plughole, dust on table/TV. Breakfast was a smaller selection than expected. Omlettes, eggs Benedict, etc. are normaally available in buffet breakfast but these were chargeable extras! Fried eggs in the buffet were cold. Tables were not cleared of dishes quickly which meant we had to move our used dushes to a neighbouring table. A very disappointing breakfast experience, which was charged on top of our booking....totally unacceptable. Spa area was also extremely disappointing. Only when we enquired about timing for the spa were we informed of the refurbishment taking place. Only the pool was available on a booking system. No jacuzzi, steam room or sauna. I've never been to a hotel where they book you in advance to use the pool and only for approx. 30mins use! When in the pool one wall was covered in tarpaulin for work on the other side....noisey and dusty works going on. Corners of the tarpaulin were torn to show large holes which allowed a lot of cold air towards the pool. There were no treatments available until after check out time! The only positive was the car park and the excellent service from Tino and tge team. Car park area is small but well managed. Location was good but this was an overall very disappointing experience. "
