The 'Tasting menu' is a delight on the taste buds and well worth every penny! As is the breakfast which is a wonderful way to start the day. It is situated over the road from the beautiful Cathedral in the heart of the ancient city of Ripon and well worth the opportunity to forget about the car and explore the city on foot. "Friendly welcome from Kate, very nice room with very large bed. We had our evening meal there, both very tasty. Good night's sleep, it was lovely and quiet, comfy bed. Great shower the next morning. Breakfast was pre-booked the night before, my husband had the eggs royale with smoked salmon and l had a sausage sandwich. The price included a cup of very good coffee each. Had a good chat to the housekeeper Kath. Pity they are moving on, but we might visit them when they move to Thirsk."
