"The hotel is located in Altstadt of Basel on a quite street. It's 15 min by walk from Basel SBB or 2 stops away by street car. Museums, cafes restaurants, groceries, and other shops are short walk away from the hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall, I'm satisfied."

"Basel is a small city by all means with great transportation options. The transfer from the airport was free thanks to the Baselcard you will be receiving upon check-in. You can show your reservation on the way if asked. Hotel is right next to the train station and one of the main transport hubs. And all transportation is for free thanks to tourism tax. The hotel; the reception, the food, the restaurant, the location — everything was top notch!"

"Received a bad check-in experience with a staff that repeated the same sentences like robots and didn’t hide how annoyed she was. I don’t think the principle of hospitality were uphold and will prefer the Marriot for my next trips to Basel."

"We loved the hotel, designer decor, location and corner room! I did request ahead of time for a room not on the front side of the hotel. I read revues that said it is noisy with church bells and bar hoppers all night, but despite that , we were given a front facing room . We still slept with our windows open every night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it!"

"The staff went far beyond helpful beginning with making reservations for dinner. The Belman put us and most of our luggage on the lift then ran out of room. He then carried the rest up the stairs and met us with a smile. The service at the hotel bistro was equally excellent and friendly. The food was delicious A great one night visit, I wish it had been longer"

"The only good thing was the staff. When you need to have a fan blowing to cool the room in springtime, I pity the poor summer travelers. Never mind the noise. Worse night non sleep I had on vacation. Then the door to the bathroom needed to be closed so the exhaust fan didn’t run and again make noise. Not happy with room"
