"This was exactly what we wanted. We got the traditional Japanese experience in Kyoto. The transit was a small walk through a quiet and safe neighborhood. They had a restaurant that we ate at and a nice traditional Japanese breakfast. The small beds on the floor were a surprise to us all how comfortable they were. Loved this experience!"

"This property exceeded my expectation. It is a quick 1-stop train ride from Kyoto station. The property is right across the station with a Starbucks and Family Mart right next to it. There are also good restaurants and the Kyoto aquarium within walking distance to the property. The room is spacious than the usual in Japan and bathroom is very modern. "Tommy always makes you feel at home, a great place to stay if you want to experience Kyoto like a local. The guesthouse is minutes away from both metro an JR stations, there are businesses, convenience stores, public baths and everything you need to feel at home."
"The check in experience was easy and though it wasn’t too difficult to get to the property was more out of the way than expected for where we were going. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, but the room size was huge and having a washer and dryer on site was very handy. "
"For a hotel chain apart of the Marriott bonvey family this is a real nice hotel. Modern, clean looking, the service and the staff were amazing including delivering my hotel luggage to the next hotel i was staying at and the station nearby was great only a 5 minute walk and the free hotel umbrellas provided were incredible because we came in during the rainy season "

"This is a no frills hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay. You can hear if you have a heavy walking upstairs neighbor, but throughout the night it was pretty quiet. There are great laundry facilities onsite that were super easy to use and you don’t have to buy detergent. You just download an app and pay and monitor progress through the app—it was great! "
