"The room was great. We stayed in 1A. Clean and spacious. Just needs a mirror in the room so you dont have to stand with bathroom door open when drying hair. Breakfast was yummy. Plenty of continental to choose from. Staff very courteous and professional. "

"Room was immaculate and cozy. Breakfast was lovely and very accommodating for special dietary requirements. Owner was brilliant and very knowledgeable of local area and excellent recommendations. Great location for Alton Towers. Will definitely stay here again. "

"No staff at property everything had to be carried out by phone including access to property

"Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar."
