"Great small homely hotel with fabulous views of the hills and moors. Nice bar and lounge with excellent breakfast in morning. We stayed in main hotel but the little cabins look fab. Will come back to try one. Great place to stay when visiting the area. Great night out in uppermill … lots of pubs and restaurants just 2 miles away"

"The staff are fantastic. I notified a member of the bar staff that we had a booking and he got me checked in immediately, sorted our keys out for us and showed me the room. He gave me good detail about the hotel and the fire exits, door keys etc. The rooms are separated from the pub by a locked door that you're given a key for. This is very reassuring and secure. The pub itself was quiet before too late so getting to sleep was easy. The fan in the room was very much appreciated as we stayed...

"Room was great. Booking in was awful. All young staff, no management visible. Absolutely awful. Expected a bit of noise from pub. But sounded like being above a club. Drum and base beyond 12 midnight. Tea and coffee minimal. Wouldn’t consider staying again. Cleaner in the morning, absolutely delightful. Best member of staff for sure!"

"The pod of screens to sign yourself in when you arrive is not very welcoming but staff very helpful and dealt with this. Decent size car park now chargeable all week (contra information in room which suggested Fri night to Sun are free - apparently out of date). Decennt breakfast sensibly priced if you scan the code in your room beforehand. Restaurant/room service stops by 9:30 which was inconveniently early. If you can avoid room 101 which is right by the lift shaft and noisy. Would stay...

"Clean room"

"Nice comfortable double. The room was a good temperature throughout the stay. If known was going to be placed in a room facing the road would have brought earplugs as I am not used to traffic. Reception was very helpful and quick check in made sure that my car was in sight of the security cameras. Happy to use this hotel again."

"Hotel was ok but shower was luke warm and there was no TV signal"

"Room was clean and functional. Bathroom was great. Good selection for breakfast. Really liked the fresh coffee idea, but feel like there should be more coffee stations. When I wake up I like to have a coffee and didn’t feel like I could wander down through reception and the breakfast area to get one in my pyjamas. Maybe just having additional stations by the lifts on each floor would be great."

"It’s a convenient B&B but be wary that it’s no where near SportCity, so a bit of false advertising and the map is also wrong. Other than that, the place is OK. Car park you have to pay for and be careful, I got a ticket even though I paid and couldn’t prove I had other than the £4 payment on my card. However, appeal failed. So… parking is expensive!"

"It was a cosy cabin with everything we wanted, views of woodland on the other side across the path was the canal, plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from in Marsden."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, cereals, and a hot cooked breakfast. The only negative, we had to pay for parking, we booked on Expedia and it was advertised as parking available, no mention of having to pay. We will use this hotel again but will book directly through the hotel website. ( cheaper too )"
