"Excellent 4 day stay during height of summer at Salty Lodge. Literally steps from the busy Old town, but area is very safe and somewhat quieter. The rooms are pretty spacious for our family of four, with a veranda that looks out/down to the street activity, stores and restaurants. Shower has pretty good water pressure, no shortage of hot water and rooms have comfy beds. We enjoyed the 5th floor rooftop, oh the views! Make sure to it out at sunrise. "Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. About the hot water, you must realize that water heaters in Europe are half the size of North American ones. We had plenty of hot water. The only thing we didn't like are the beds are a little hard but it was the same at the previous place we stayed. We made do. Also tile floors are always cold which I'm not fond of but...

"We had a great time on south coast of Portugal and big part of that was Torralvor apartment, it had everything we needed for comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, big fridge and it was cleaned to good standard. 5 min away you can find excellent walkways over the marshes by the see, which is refreshing in the early morning, the sea is 10 minutes away with its beautiful extended beach with some rock formations for photos. Don’t forget to visit Lagos as well, simply beautiful...

The listing location in Hotels.com is wrong- it was way out of the center. "

"Fantastic apartment. Absolutely stunning. All the amenities you will need in fabulous decor. Great location, quiet but close to loads of great restaurants. Friendly and helpful concierge on site. Would definitely recommend. Only issue was communication pre trip. Despite e-mailing twice re arrival time, neither message was responded to. Fortunately all was good when we arrived."
