"Airport shuttle driver waiting for me at airport with my name on a sign. Return ride to airport was on time as promised. Breakfast was great! Hernan was a gracious host. "Lots of difficulty here. The room was nice, though no exterior windows. You have to check in before midnight, and the host locks you in from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM each night (yes, really) due to what she described as dangerous streets. On our 10:30 check in, after almost 12 hours of travel, she fought vociferously with us because we asked to remain on the sidewalk for five minutes to smoke a cigarrete. "I very much enjoyed my stay at Casa Hotel Las Plazas and highly recommend it. A nice, comfortable room and the hotel is really well located within the Historic District. It is family owned and the best thing is the family itself which went out of their way to make me feel at home. Luis was extremely helpful with travel, directions and recommendations. And Lucia and Michelle provide a great breakfast. Lucia knows Ecuadorian fruits well and shared her deep knowledge."

"The hotel is a “one of a kind”. Located in the historic part of Quito in a former large colonial home. The ornamental paintings on all the walls create an indoor garden atmosphere. Our room was quite large with a comfortable king size bed. The washroom is well appointed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Eggs are made to order. The artisanal bread was a nice touch. There is no elevator, so ask for a room on a lower floor if you have mobility challenges or think the high altitude might make...

"We would stay here again. The location was great with a park across the street and nearby grocery stores. No restaurants were open nearby, despite it being Saturday night. The room was generally quiet and the sheets were super soft. The room was big and had good options to lay out our suitcases. The room also had a mini fridge, however there was no bottled water in the room. The toilet seat and toilet paper rack were both very loose, but the bathroom had a fan. The fridge and fan were extra nice...
