"Room has enough space and bed size is good enough.
Spa is very good, but the hotel building is old enough.
It would be better to manage the patches in the garden and sidewalk to the Onuma area should be cleaned."

"Kind and warm staff. They go beyond expectations. I was welcomed with a warm dinner just in case I missed it as the area around Shin-Hakodate station has no convenience stores or restaurants. A pleasant experience that I want to repeat in the near future."

"Great location, easily accessible, walking distance to the Goryokaku Park & Tower, loads of dinner & snack options around the hotel.
Many vending machines with lots of options in the hotel.
Nice onsen on the 3rd floor.
1-day tram tickets available at the reception.
Breakfast buffet is delicious with varied options and a good local spread. "

"Wonderful stay - so comfortable and welcoming and in a great location (we came by train). Would definitely return as we loved the city as much as the hotel. "

"Was quite taken aback by the many poor earlier reviews. Felt the hotel is reasonable for a 3 n half star. Rooms a bit tight but cormfotable and equipment new"

"Rooms were clean and great layout with everything you needed. There are usb points on the desk for charging, they even had a large mirror at the desk which helped with putting on my skincare. Bathroom had suitable storage. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional no language issues. Breakfast was amazing, make your own chirashi and salad bowls. Had soups, warm food and the cold drinks dispenser had 5 or so choices. Only downside is that the smoking room is near the lobby so a lot of the smell comes through to the lobby area. Had to take shelter from the rain and wind before checkin, was left with a headache from the smell. It must get bad for the staff, pity the fumes don't go towards the carpark. The hotel is just to the left of exiting the train station. Would definitely stay again."
"Staff was very helpful. Located right next to morning market. Room was comfortable and attractive. Buffet breakfast with lots of variety. Zero complaints."
"It’s close to the Shinkansen which suited my needs. Not much in immediate the area as others have noted but it is only a 20 minute train trip into Hakodate. "
"Hotel’s buffet is good. But if you are staying for more than 1 night, you might not want to pay for half board as the spread for breakfast and dinner doesn’t change. Otherwise, hotel is clean and comfortable. You need a car to move around though as it is not close to town centre."
