"This is a beautiful historic property that is extremely well maintained and inviting. Our host was very knowledgeable about its history and she was so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious with so many options, prepared and served by our host in a relaxed and friendly manner. We stayed in the Happy Trails Room and the bed was quite comfortable. "This was a beautiful stay in Taos. The staff is the best we've ever experienced. And the public grounds on the property were very peaceful. We were quite disappointed with the hot tub area and the hot tub itself. Not well maintained and pretty gross. We got out of the hot tub as soon as we got in! The bathroom sink had little drips of water on the cold side, and the hot side was scorching hot immediately. Not the best stay, but not the worst."

"The salt water pool was out of commission. The pool Was one of our reasons for picking this property. We were given no notice that it was under repair."

"Excellent location and convenient free parking. Staff was welcoming. As a historic (older) hotel, there is no elevator so be ready for stairs to access 2nd floor rooms. The downstairs bar is nice with frequent bands. Would definitely stay there again."

"My room was a good size and had all of the amenities I needed (refrigerator and microwave). However, there were a few areas that reflected a need for updating. Overall, I thought the room was a good deal for the price and it was located near supermarkets and the plaza. I look forward to returning to the TVL in the not-too-distant future. "
