"We arrived early at about 10:30 and were allowed to leave our car while we explored Kendal. When we got back around 14:30 our room was ready so we went in and settled in. My wife has an issue with onions her meal did contain onions despite being told they’d be excluded. It would have useful to know we could use the pool prior to checking in. "

"This property exceeded our expectations! Very spacious lounge and kitchen. The 4 double bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Massive bonus was that 2 of them had ensuites as well as another bathroom. The property was immaculate and is clearly looked after well. The location was very peaceful and remote. Daunting single road to travel from the main road for 2-3 miles however after doing it once it was a lot easier. Minimal traffic. Will definitely stay again!"

"Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. Laundromat behind the Black Bull hotel which was very convenient. About 6 pounds to run the washer and one or two for the dryer. There's a tourist...

"Excellent budget stay. I was the only person in an 8-bed dorm, and was one of only two people using the communal facilities on the night of my visit. Excellent hostel facilities and good systems in place."
