"Nothing like the picture. No windows in the room. I got one towel for my entire stay, and no cleaning during the stay, although I was demanded extra for cleaning, about HKD36 a day. Aircondition was very noicy, but worked fine though. Be prepared for a very crowded space. And nothing German about it either, its run by indians who also run a few more hostels in the same building."

"Private Room #6 is filled with mold which is a very hazardous nuisance. Room also feel very run down, tiles are uneven and coming off from the floor and wall. Once I notified the hotel they moved me over to room # 7 which was fine and in much better shape overall it's also slightly bigger. Great location overall and communication was easy going. "

"Single rooms look nothing like in the pictures. I checked in to 'Melbourne hostel' but got put into 'Germany hostel'. They charge an extra fee for cleaning and for the key when you check in. Got to my room, TV and aircon doesn't work, no towel for the shower. If you have a little more money, I highly recommend paying slightly more for an actual budget hotel. You will thank yourself for it."

"Very clean, owner welcoming. windows are unable to be opened due to the scaffolding around the building, but this was the only flaw. Rooms are simple and comfy, aircon was a welcomed amenity. Close to MTR links, cafes, restaurants and shops. The outside looks a little intimidating but there is 24/7 security and everything is only accessible by keycard. I felt very safe and would return to AMU Dreamhouse. Thank you for a lovely stay."
