"Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the pool bunk room and the lower area king bed was so soft and felt like it gave us a hug. "After staying here, we will never use a hotel in Houston again. It was very quiet. The staff were exceptional. The breakfast was incredible. Everything about this little spot was perfect. My wife continues to want to go to Houston just so we can stay there again. She left a pair of shoes accidentally and the owner even shipped them back to my wife. You don’t get that level of service at a hotel. I would give this place 10 stars if possible."

"We arrived for check-in and were greeted by the manager. She showed us the details of the room like the airco/heater. Our room was clean, beautiful, charming, and filled with antiques. It was like staying at a wealthy uncle and aunt's house. I thought a lot about the history of the house and wondered who might have been to parties there a hundred years ago. The neighborhood was quiet, and pretty close to the Strand and the beach. We'd definitely stay there again. "
