"Room was clean and having a two-room suite was a plus. The balcony with a single chair only provides a view of trees--you cannot see the ocean from the hotel but Doheny State Beach is only a block away."

"There is major construction at this hotel. I was advised the only way to avoid some of the noise was to pay for an upgraded room on the other side of the hotel. Once there it was where they parked the construction equipment and once that started was far from quiet!"

"Loved the location and amenities! It had everything we needed. Beach was beautiful- I could watch the surfers all day long! You have a shuttle that takes you to the beach if you don’t want to walk 2 minutes :) and you can request them to set up the chairs and umbrellas, get boogie boards. I find it a very nice add-on. Staff was beyond attentive!! Food at restaurants was very good! You almost don’t need to leave, but you do have a gorgeous area around so it’s nice to venture off to San Clemente...

"The rooms are old and sounds are not contained very well. Low water pressure. Everything could use a good dusting and wipe down. The beds are hard as rocks"

"We needed a place to relax for the weekend after a busy work week. This fit the bill. We stayed in building 14. We had a lovely balcony with rocking chairs. They provided a nice cozy blanket. We had a massage. I believe my therapist’s name is Erica. She was wonderful! They have live music and a patio with fireplaces to relax. We did enjoy that area a few times. The staff were all very well trained; super polite and couldn’t be more helpful. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the food. They...

"Excellent beachfront property"

"We stayed in the new part of the hotel which was a converted office building and it faced the Main Street. We were told the traffic dies down at night but it never really did. Needless to say the traffic noise was too much and had a horrible night sleep. I would not stay here again. "
