"The properties location is ideal for walking to the downtown area where a number of restaurants / shopping are located. Walking distance to Sheplers Ferry vs taking the shuttle. The complimentary breakfast is the usual hotel breakfast. We stayed in the “Ontario” building 3rd floor. The room had a beautiful view of Lake Heron. "The condo is pretty far away from town,however the horse taxis are fun and easily available.They have a porter to send your luggage on,at the ferry docks.So you don’t have to go back and forth.You can stay right in town and explore the island until you are ready to head to your room.When we did our luggage was in room waiting for us.Also the next day at check-out the porter took our luggage to the ferry and made sure we got the next available taxi into town.When we were ready to head back to...

"It was good for sleeping. But would not go back. Heard noises all throughout our stay (footballs on the 3rd floor, people laughing and running outside in the hallways, shadows of them outside at all times etc etc.) There were mayflies everywhere on the balcony window so we couldn't go out there or open them, and the beds really did a number on my back. Not to mention the check in location was in a different building up a huge hill, which was very inconvenient and stressful. I had to ask...

"The cleaning and dining staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the check in/front desk staff was extremely helpful and others were completely clueless. Luck of the draw. Overall the staff kept the place clean however the hotel itself has seen better days. The lobby intermittently smelled as if they had a sewage backup and our room has a very musty/moldy smell to it."

"This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! I recommend this super nice motel to everyone!!! 🌟🌟🌟"
