"Excellent hotel"

"We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms."

"We are returning clients and found the staff to be extremely attentive, particularly during breakfast which exceeded our expectations. Great choice even for me……Mr Fussy eater! We stayed in a room with a King Bed, very comfortable and both slept well. The room was clean and maintained to a high standard. Recommend and definitely will return."

"The breakfast was great and the beds comfortable. Staff friendly too but the bathroom was filthy. The area under the sink was thick with dust and cobwebs - clearly had never been cleaned. I told the reception staff (and showed photos) who, while crediting my parking back, seemed confused and said they would report to housekeeping. I really hope they do sort out the cleaning as otherwise a nice hotel."

"Good transport links. Room very clean. Staff exceptionally helpful. Does not do breakfast but sister inn close buy and plenty cafes nearby eg Starbucks . Only there for short while but hope to return and will stay again. "

"The stay was okay, but when checking out we had an incident where when returned a few minutes after checkout our key cards were no longer which was to be expected. So we went to front desk to ask for the keys to be enabled so we could get our luggage and bags. When we were told that they had no record of us being there and the room was showing as empty. We told them that’s not possible we had been there the past 2 nights and we needed to get to the train station as soon as possible. I get there...

"We had a wonderful time at the Old Church Farm. The grounds are very green and peaceful. Very comfortable beds and great hosts! A gem in the area. Do not skip on the breakfast! a fantastic experience"

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "A terrible hotel which I will never visit again. The parking permit they provided did not work at the time of exit and I ended up paying around 60 pounds from my pocket. Despite sending repeated emails with the receipts, no response or refund yet!"

"This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food.
