"Just a delightful surprise. We’ve been to Newport many times as our daughter lives there, but did not know about the Admiral Sims. The property is so close to everything, including Easton Beach, but is nestled in a neighborhood on a lovely property. The new wraparound porch is beautiful. Our room was lovely, with a fireplace and kitchenette. Everything about this property is really pleasant. The owner greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back again."

Location was wonderful for walking to stores, restaurants; especially wonderful that we could park our car for free at the Manor! Parking in town is rough and expensive. We would definitely stay here again."

"Hydrangea House provided a lot of charm and a great location for our stay in Newport. The Winter Garden suite is spacious and quiet located on the third floor. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The huge shower is an experience and the towel warmer was an added treat. The breakfasts were so hearty we didnt need to eat lunch and the cookies were a delicious treat that came with evening turn down service. All the staff were friendly and added to a very pleasant stay. Would stay again."

"We booked a room specifically for its waterfront view, only to discover that a construction site was situated directly between our room and the water, significantly obstructing the view we had expected.
To make matters worse, construction work began at 8:00 a.m. on Columbus Day (Monday), a public holiday, disrupting what was supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing family getaway.
At no point did the hotel inform us about the ongoing construction or warn us about the possibility of early-morning...
