"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"Everything was fine overall, great apartment, great location, friendly housekeeper. However, before travel look after a message requesting a deposit, we noticed that the Hotels.com app indicated the deposit and taxes were included, which turned out not to be the case. As a result, I had to make the payment through a separate website. We left the apartment clean and tidy, and the deposit was refunded within a few days."

"Didn't receive the property information coming up to the booking date, I contacted the company and was told there was some IT issue and apologised and forwarded me the information. When we first arrived after a 5 hour drive at half 6 on a Saturday evening, the access code for the key lock box we recieved via the property app was incorrect. Family of 4 had to hike to get some food in a local restaurant and wait for a call from the property management team. In the meantime I found a different...

"Lovely apartment in a fantastic position/location overlooking the harbour within Brixham. Good parking a 5 min walk away. Appt could do with some coat hooks just inside the hallway to hang wet coats as no where to hang coats anywhere else. Also a bit of foam on the ceiling/door frame area as constantly banged head every time i left the property due to the 3/4 height front door. If you are 6'2'' tall like myself its a hazard... An instruction book/folder would be beneficial within the apartment...

"The flat is in a good location. The balcony is the standout feature with a sea view. Lovely old building. You can walk to the beach in 10 mins and be in the harbour within 20 mins. Be warned it is uphll on the way back. Gated secure parking. The flat is functional. 2 good sized bedrooms and an open plan living area. Beds are very comfy. The cleaning left a little to be desired. Towels have seen better days. Sofa and cushions needed a fabreeze and a plump. And the interior is showing its age a...

"Family of four — we had such a great stay at this property! Everything felt really well looked after and maintained. The hot tub was a real highlight for us, especially after busy days out. The location couldn’t have been better — right in the city centre with lovely views over the harbour, and close to so many attractions. It made getting around so easy. Honestly, it had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable break. We’d happily stay again!"

Abbey Sands Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is in a good location. We had two rooms for one night. One was very modern, with a modern bathroom. The other was larger but a little more tired. Both were good value! There was ample parking within the hotels 3 carparks. The breakfast was fine but with slightly limited choice. The hotel was dog friendly which was great - and there was a dog friendly area in there restaurant. The staff were all friendly. We would definitely stay here again."

Lincombe Hall Hotel & Spa - Just for Adults

10/10 Excellent

"The rooms were comfy but fairly small - bathroom was fairly basic no space to put a bath bag. We were charged £15/day for parking which I think is a bit steep when you have already paid for a room, its not v welcoming when you arrive. The spa facilities were excellent, probably the best in the area. Room service food (after 9pm) was pretty poor. lukewarm soup, stale sandwich. breakfast was fairly good though."

"My son and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. The facilities were good, and the property was only a short walk from the beach and local amenities. My son loved the breakfast, and our room was clean and tidy."

"Parking is good you can park.outsude the property free of charge. Staff friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy but compact. The shower was very small and the door was difficult to. close and open once inside It. The bed was too soft and kept moving away from the wall. The room was very hot even with the window open which made it difficult to sleep. However, the breakfast was very good. It was a buffet with my favourite tinned tomatoes an option. Also there was a proper toater"
