"The owners are there everyday. The staff is friendly and very custimer focused. The standards are high and the inn has a great history and is lovely. It felt more like being a house guest than a customer. The restaurant was an outstanding choice for dinner and accommodation for vegetarians and allergies were taken into consideration and excellent meals with tasty desserts and great wine and cocktails now has this on our summer spots to visit!!"

"The Ira Allen House is an authetic traditional vintage house. It is clean & the rooms are comfortable. The owner, Mike is a great host & the breakfast is very good. If your looking for a high end hotel with all the bells & whistles, this is not your place. If you want a historic home rich in history and authentic Vermont, then you will enjoy your stay. The location is literally across the street from the race course and at the same time is quiet and has a very convenient private parking lot. Also, a walking distance from downtown.
