"I thought that this hotel was really great! It is a great place to stay if you are visiting Iceland and want to save money by cooking your own food. There is no staff, so if you want your room cleaned often and changed, this isn’t the place for you. The WiFi is absolutely terrible so if that is something you really need I highly suggest not staying here. "Plenty of parking spaces outside of the hotel, this is a huge plus compared to the downtown hotels. The trade off is you have to drive 18 mins to downtown. I had the room not facing the highway, so I don’t have any street noise at night."

"Rooms very clean! Great location and staff was very helpful!"

"Basic lodging that met the needs of our party of 7. We were in building 53 (upstairs) and there is no real lounging space but the bedrooms are spacious. Basic soap provided and some tea/coffee. Beds were comfortable but as others have mentioned the floors can be loud but slippers are provided to help the noise. The building is close to the main area where shops and restaurants are so definitely loud at times…earplugs can help."

"We found the apartment’s lighting was too dark because of dark color of walls and not enough of lighting fixtures. Besides the fixtures are spot lights type so that certain areas were not covered. "Our stay at Alda Hotel was very comfortable. The bed and sheets were exactly to my liking, making for a great night’s sleep. The location is excellent and made it easy to get to our tour bus pickups. Everything you need is within walking distance, and having a Starbucks conveniently located in the hotel was a nice bonus.
