"The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows. The sun blasts on to the roof just above and creates an oven! The provided fan was little help. Very bad night's sleep. The unhelpful receptionist told me that the hot room was due to the heat. I asked if we could swap rooms, but he said the hotel was fully booked, despite a portable sign outside saying 'Rooms available tonight'. Breakfast was very poor....

"Mark and Rich were amazing hosts. Excellent restaurant suggestions. Our room was in the basement at the back and it was cool and quiet. Very clean and the common area where breakfast was served and the area where you could sit and look out at the water was way bigger than we expected. Breakfast was extra and well worth it. "We had a great stay as a family. Our room had a beautiful sea view, and the kids absolutely loved the bunk beds. The separate kids’ sleeping area, divided by a curtain, gave everyone a bit of their own space, which worked really well for us. The hotel’s beachfront location was fantastic, making it easy to spend time by the sea.
