"Great hotel, huge bedrooms, lots of social space. Plenty of areas in spa so never felt crowded, breakfast small in comparison to others i’ve had but it was fine. "

"Lovely building and very close to town centre, all the staff are lovely - friendly and helpful.
Our room was ok but not as clean as it should have been, only 1 set of towels on arrival, shower gel was empty. All got resolved though as soon as I requested. We hung up our towels to re-use but they were changed each day.
Free bottled water provided each day and good tea and coffee set up. Bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing - plenty of choices and really well done. Menu only, no buffet for...

"A lovely unique property full of character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Being an old building with many original features it has its flaws but they add to its charm. All beautiful original windows so no double glazing. They rattle if it’s windy! Our room got very hot even with the radiator turned off due to the old water pipes. "Lovely large room and decent sized shower room. Free parking was a big plus point.
Plenty of choice on the tea / coffee tray. Staff were helpful and courteous.
Breakfast for my personal taste was a little underwhelming, large plate with only one item of each, and a poorly cooked poached egg. Good choice of cereals and yoghurts. Nice to have a cafetiere for the morning coffee.
All in all though, I / we will be staying here again if in the area as it provides really good value for money in...
