"Booked for long weekend with family. Check in was at 3pm but had to wait 2.5 for rooms to be cleaned and got access to rooms at 5:30pm. No drinks from bar no compensation offered (complained and got it later), staff were very unhelpful. Delay completely ruined break. They offered a late checkout next day as compensation so we thought we would use the pool to find that children are not allowed in the pool until late afternoon to allow club members to use the pool, awesome. "I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and this has got to be one of the worst check-in experiences I’ve ever had. Why does everyone have to show photo ID? It’s officious and over-reaching. I’ve paid up front, I’ve provided a rather hefty £100 deposit and I’ve shown my ID…. Why does everyone else? "Great property close to the train station that is connected to the ExCel center (trains, not the hotel). The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and the staff goes above and beyond! My room was large with a huge window seat where I could relax, get work done or just read a book while enjoying the view.
