"Everything was excellent except I noticed wallpaper coming off the walls in a few places. Particularly in the corridors. Also in our room."

"A bare bones budget stay but clean and comfortable. No AC, no amenities. Hard to find from the street. Look for The Parson's Pig restaurant, it's hidden behind it."

"Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb."

"Marvellous breakfast and staff who were extra helpful, finding us a room more suitable for the elderly than the original booking. Room was very convenient and clean, Both of us sadly found the beds uncomfortable and the ac very cold! Large car park at the hotel but like so many hotels these days, the main dining room was unexpectedly closed to individual guests in the evenings due to a party booking, both the nights we were there. Fortunately we found a fantastic pub 5 minutes walk away...

"Do no stay at this hotel, it is terrible. It was totally run down. The curtains were ripped and hadn't been washed in years. The bathroom was filthy with brown stains in toilet and black grime on shower seals. The sink had hard toothpaste left on it obviously from the guests before us. The room itself was thick with dust and the carpet was covered in stains and hadn't been hoovered in weeks.Even the walls had dirty marks all over them We had booked 2 rooms and both were as bad as each other. "We’re so glad we decided to stay here instead of some chain hotel! It had so much character & charm. Our room was large & very comfortable. The bathroom was also large & beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds could use a little TLC (my husband was a landscaper 😉) but they were beautiful nonetheless. There was a wonderful Pub within walking distance where the food & atmosphere was wonderful! Perfect ending to our European vacation. Thank you 😊"
