"Friendly staff and a nice overall atmosphere. The service was welcoming and made the stay pleasant. However, the shower was very dirty, which was disappointing and took away from the experience. With better attention to cleanliness, this place could be much better. I also wish we had been informed ahead of time about the construction at the beach, as we weren’t able to enjoy it on Saturday and Sunday because of the work being done."

"Nicely renovated room! Thankfully it didn't smell as bad as the front office. I was worried during check in that the room would be smelly too but it wasn't! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and staff was nice and respectful! Had trouble with getting hot water for a shower due to the neighbors showering at the same time. Overall I would recommend and would definitely stay there again!"

"Early check in was very convenient for us. They are very pet friendly the staff gave us a do not disturb tag that informed their staff of pets inside the room. Also they had a cute goodie bag for my pup. My kids absolutely loved it here. Will definitely recommend. Also , deposit collected during checkin , when I checked out was instantly given back to me"

"First, this is more of a motel than a hotel as the rooms open to the outside. It also advertises a "private beach" but it is a very small area with a few chairs that leads to the bay (not the ocean). The actual beach is a several minute walk across a busy street. While they provide bikes, and surf boards, there are very few other ammenities. However, we thought the rooms were clean and maintenence was responsive to an issue we had. "Clean rooms and nice hotel for the cost.its in a good location if you want to be on the main beach area and enjoy the bars and nightlife. If you want to stay in and just relax, the hotel is quiet and the pools were good. It wasn't crowded when we stayed."

"A lovely place to stop on my way to Gulf Shores. The owners were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious and unassuming, and the location was central to everything I needed. There was off-street parking, so I didn't have to worry about my car, and I felt safe there as a solo female traveler."

"This is a converted church which means the rooms are not standardized and your experience might depend on which room you are assigned. The hotel has good beds and linens, but small rooms ( or some are at least) a very poor, loud, AC system, poor cleaning, very poor sound proofing of rooms. It really depends on the price point you pay. These rooms can be as much as $400. They are worth 1/2 that amount. If you are paying at that 1/2 rate, then maybe an OK proposition. For example in...
