"We were not taken care of vis-a-vis check-in. We had to track down the maid to get some answers. We had to get a key from a neighboring restaurant. We tried to call the front desk, we tried to text and ask for the key code to get into our room and nobody ever responded not even after we checked out. Thank God for the maid Susan. The room was shabby: carpet stained, old sink in bathroom weird old shower head. No office to get ice. Still no contact from office. Very unprofessional."

"I just wanted to write this review about the Faraway I checked into my room after a long day of moving on island . I got to the room tried to wash my face and hands . No hot water , Tried to call the front desk no phone service . I had to use the cell phone to reach the front desk . Finally after a 30 minute wait maintenance and the front desk attendant stopped by . They had no idea what was wrong and how to fix it . He asked me to move to another room but i declined because i was beat and had...

"Front is under construction. Had to wait 2 hours to get our room, apparently they were waiting on confirmation that that the room was set. About 15 people waiting for 2 hours to get their room. Resort fee was charged although the only thing available was the pool. Shady character seen hanging by elevators on different floors. We had two rooms, my daughter’s room was next to a room with “swingers” in full force until 3:30 am."

On top of the office desk there was an unplugged microwave, it was like “here’s a microwave if you need it”, I had to bring it down to the floor. I can’t imagine it’s safe for a kid or older person Room had the “extra perfume” smell that overpowering, probably to cover the bad smells. "Great location, gorgeous building and rooms were very pretty. Had issues closing the bathroom door because it kept getting stuck in the frame which makes sense in an old house but wish it was something that was taken care of. Service at front desk was lukewarm and not very welcoming. "

"Beautiful house! The rooms were very clean and the location was great. There is no staff on site but it was relatively easy to contact people. The walls are very thin and you will hear every single thing happening around you. I love pet friendly places but there was a dog left in the room that cried for hours and when I tried contacting management about it no one ever replied. Parking is easy and overall it was a good experience. "

Eventually, I was able to gain entry to the hotel with the help of a staff member who gave me a key to my room, which was up two very steep flights of steps. "The hotel location is beautiful. The building is well kept and clean. The staff was amazing! We loved our room overall but there were a few minor inconveniences: 1. The shower handle kept getting stuck and was hard to turn off. 2. We went in April and the room got very hot at night. You couldn’t change the room thermostat from hot to cold. So they told us to open the windows, which let a bee inside our room because the windows had no nets. "
