"The staff were wonderful. We were late in arriving but staff made the check-in process smooth and easy. We were in unit 1 which has a view of the bay and a wonderful outside sitting area with a bbq. Linens were nice and beds comfortable. The heat pump worked well when we needed air conditioning or heat. The staff were very helpful during an unusual heavy rainfall event to make sure we were safe and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we are back in the area. Hot water beach and...

"Beautiful. The watergardens are so peaceful and the longer walk to the waterfall for swimming was worth the climb. Our " house" was beautifully decorated and breakfast was great with all we could want. A hidden gem well worth the trip."

"We stayed 1 night only in the deluxe standard cabin on Jan 7. The room has an unique design, but very small with 1 queen bed, 2 chairs, 1 small table and mini kitchen cabinet (water boiler, toaster, cup, glass, plate are available with free tea-coffee-choc). Shared bathroom-toilet-kitchen are clean. But uncomfortable if in the night you need to go to toilet, you must walk around 2 minutes, and very cold outside! "Clean room, beautiful location, easy parking. Enjoyed our stay there and looking out onto the stunning estuary. Great to be able to borrow a spade for hot water beach. Good base to see the surrounding area. Would recommend."

"Pleasant stay at Hahei. The location is strategic, walking distance to the Hahei Beach. The Studio is nice, it has a small kitchen and dining table for 2 persons.Since my stay was not in peak season(Winter time), it was quiet at night and you can hear the waves sound from the beach. Overall, recommended!"

"Everything about this hotel is a gold star, despite the bathrooms being slightly outdated and the road to get there semi isolated for food options. This is a great place for a night or even a week! The staff were friendly, and so were the ducks and eels! We were fortunate to see the lunar eclipse right from their hand built trail, and only wish we could have stayed longer. "
