Been around the north island for my first time, and Hahei and The Church Accommodations were the most beautiful! I would come back in a heart beat. The staff was very helpful about where go and how to get there.

Great stay! Very charming cottage feeling. Limited dinning option being off shoulder season but the pub in town was open and had great options! Supplied shovels and beach towel during stay for hot water beach at no additional charge which was great. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

My best friend and I rented out one of the cabins for our joint birthday road trip and fell head over heels with this accommodation. It was the most cozy cabin which had all the utilities we needed and very friendly staff, with super easy check-in. Would highly recommend it, and plan on returning in the new year!!!

The hosts were lovely and so helpful. The gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed sitting on my private patio with a cup of tea each morning. The bar fridge was a good size, the mattress was super comfortable. I loved the decor - wooden floors and the unique recycled windows and doors. The parking was right outside the unit and generously sized. Walking distance to the shops. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.

Stunning!

Absolutely loved our stay in our Studio Cottage set among the stunning private gardens. Beautiful attention to detail right throughout our cottage and the overall property. Very friendly and helpful host that sorted our afternoon boat cruise and provided details of all the sites to see. We hope we get back here again one day.

This is one of the prettiest rentals I’ve ever stayed at. The room was very cozy, the owner Andraz (sp) was extremely helpful, he assisted us getting on the kayak trip we thought was sold out as well very helpful in helping us with a tire repair. Everything about this place is tranquil and relaxing. Sure wish I’d booked more than one night!

I’ve driven all over the North island these past 2 weeks and wish I’d spent less time everywhere else and more time in Hahei, specifically at Church Accommodation! My cottage was elegant and comfortable, with a view into a carefully crafted luxury jungle. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful with directions and by keeping top-notch shovels and beach towels on hand for my excursion to nearby Hot Water Beach (go during the middle-of-the-night low tide, if you can. I went during the day and it was overly crowded which made digging a decent soaking hole challenging…). My shovel was the envy of all my soaking neighbors! I had dinner two nights at the Bistro on the property and was overjoyed at the food and service—they’re owned separately, but it’s nice to be walking distance to the best restaurant in town. The beach up the street is simply one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been too and the walk to Cathedral Cover was more of an elevation gain than I bargained for, but so very worth it. (You can skip a few miles and drive to the parking lot, nearby if you need to. There are boats, too, for a price.) There is a great little breakfast spot up the road and a market next to that. My pretty cottage had a nicely appointed kitchen with a full set of cookware and dishes. I’m already sorry to have left…

A MUST VISIT place in New Zealand

We were just overwhelmed by this stunning accomodation. We have already seen many holiday places in the world bust this one is just stunning. The whole resort is very is a jewel. Gardens and surroundings are just eye catching. The owners Anna & Andreas as well as their manager Glen are running this extraordinary accomodation with a love for details, customer orientation and highly professional hospitality service. The Church bistro is a highly recommended place to eat. The Souza family is putting their full professionalism in cooking & servicing in place create a unforgettable evening dinner. We enjoyed our time at Church accomodation and bistro very much and will come back for sure in 2025. Thank you anna, Andreas, Glen and the whole Church team for that superbe experience

Five stars with extra sparkles

The photographs on the website do not do justice to this beautiful property - it is a masterclass in green style and comfort. It is sparkling clean. Great water pressure and HOT water for showers. Bedding is breathable cotton, fresh and luxurious. We appreciated the abundant native plantings which provide private outdoor spaces, and the lovely vintage windows. Our cottage had a well-stocked kitchen with everything we needed, in addition to comfortable living area, private back verandah for summer reading, and reliable wifi. Management are friendly and helpful. Everything smells so good, seriously! Dining at the Church restaurant (lunch and dinner) was marvelous and upscale, and the entire property is 5 minutes’ walk to cafes and shops (great breakfasts) and perhaps 8 minutes’ walk to the beach. If I could pack up my life and come and live here forever, I’d do it. Considering this is not possible, I’ll certainly be returning as often as I can.
