"Booking was easy, however, the writing was on the wall from early on during our stay. The cups in the room were ring stained, like they were washed out, not washed up. When we asked for a clean cup; rather than changing the dirty cup for a clean one, staff made a point of inspecting the cup and saying it was rinsed but maybe not scrubbed. Yeah, hence why it's dirty, because it's not been cleaned.

"This hotel was okay, not great. First of all, there is NO lift/ elevator and there are lots of stairs - good to know in advance. The breakfast was not great - below average. This hotel caters for coach/ bus tours rather than individual travellers. The original room we were put in was not well kept and the replacement room was better but still not great. I would say this is hotel is distinctly average with room for improvement. Not sure that I would stay there again, and we go to Edinburgh nearly...
