"Mattress was super comfortable. Had 4 pillows, perfect. The beverages in the lobby 24/7 was a real treat. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices. Had a plumbing issues, resolved quickly once maintenance was notified. Overall, the best hotel I've ever stayed in ."

"The property was very well maintained and the room was also well maintained and clean. The reservation stated a view of the lake and it was a partial view which I expected. Overall...Nice. The reason I'm writing this review is to what happened on the 1st night/early morning of our stay. Around 5am the fire alarm woke us up! We could smell burning (plastic?) no smoke yet, but proceeded to evacuate the building. We waited outside for First Responders after my husband and the staff called 911. After they arrived, extinguished the fire, and cleared the building, Kris from the office found us and apologized. She let us know that the room would be "comped" for the night and set us up in a different building with an even better room. The rest of our stay was wonderful. We loved the new room better than the one that we originally booked! Thanks Kris!! When we make reservations to return to the Surfside next year....we will definitely be booking the better room, funny how things work out😊 Thanks again M. Bonestell"
