Absolutely breathtaking! Booking this place was a fantastic decision. The cottage is splendid and offers an unparalleled view. Our goal was to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Iceland, and this spot did not disappoint. The surroundings make you feel like you're in a nature lover's paradise. Such a beautiful place! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We got our timing wrong and had to arrive very late - the hosts were very nice and arranged everything so we could arrive very late. Breakfast was great! A lovely variety and very nice!

Everything was of a highstandard, spotlessly clean, comfortable. Had everything needed for your stay. Superb location. Would highly recommend.

What a view! We arrived via the gravel road from the Hvita River valley, great drive. Easy check in, we got in early too. We were in the lodge building away from the main building where we were the inly guests. After some sight seeing we returned and had drinks in the dining area where the picture window views are amazing. Room was fine, bed comfortable, kitchen facilities and sitting area very nice.

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. Also about 5 minutes walk from bus stop #12 which seems to be one...

Nice room. Good dining option. Only one bathroom for 3 rooms might be an issue. But it was ok for us, as only one other room in use. Nice kitchen with everything to prep a meal and breakfast.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our visit to Iceland. We stayed in their cottage, and everything about the experience was perfect from start to finish. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed, which made our stay even more special. The location is also ideal - peaceful and perfectly situated for spotting the incredible Northern Lights....

As a group of four we all agreed that this was a unique rest stop and full of surprises. Steinar the owner, was a lovely host and the whole place was totally relaxed. The pods we slept in were more than adequate, warm and cosy despite being December. The Expedia pictures did not do the surrounding area justice, as we had no idea about the river and waterfall that ran in front of the main building, or the troll walks that had all been created by Steinar as well as the books he had written.
