"We enjoyed our stay at The Upper House. It's a beautiful property set in large gardens. Breakfast was good and we dined at their restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was excellent. Very close to the World of Wedgwood and a short walk to Barlaston, where there are a couple of pubs. EV charging is available for a small fee."

Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience."

"The hotel is lovely but a massive downfall in check in was my room was ready and set up as a family room after constantly asking for it to be set up and getting nowhere getting told someone’s on their way up. It should be done now. finally after refusing to leave reception without a staff member coming with me to do it there and then kids were shattered very stressful and up far beyond bedtime!"

"The property was clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job throughout our stay\. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience\. The air conditioning was not working for the entire three days we stayed\. When we arrived, we found fans in the room, which suggested the hotel was already aware of the issue\. "The room was clean and reasonably priced. Sadly I didn’t sleep well as the mattress wasn’t very comfortable - small for a double, and it felt like we were rolling together . Hong had kindly given us a room at the back of the house as I mentioned I am a light sleeper, but because it wasn’t the property I was expecting to stay in, it meant it was near to the main road which was quite noisy through most of the night on and off. "Great pub/hotel and the family room we booked was very spacious, tea and coffee available in room with biscuits and bottled water in a fridge. wifi had good signal and easy to connect to although no usb points in the room. Plenty of sockets though including by the beds. Shower was powerful and hot and tubes of soap/shampoo also supplied.
